Kaye Queen, Owner & Pet Service Provider

Hi, my name is Kaye Queen, Owner of Lucky Pet at Home Pet Services and a Pet Service Provider. I started with Lucky Dog Resorts in June of 2010 as a pet sitter.  About a year and a half later, I was promoted to pet sitting coordinator and on November 1, 2014, I took over as pet sitting manager.  In November of 2016, the owner of Lucky Dog Resorts offered my husband Gary and I the In-Home Pet Sitting part of the company and we became the owners as of January 1, 2017.

At one time, I lived in a home that came with its own rabbit.  I thought the rabbit needed a friend and before I knew it, I had well over 20 rabbits living in my backyard.  Before moving to Colorado, we had 4 dogs, 3 cats, 4 rabbits, 2 roosters, 3 chickens, 2 goats, 3 horses, 2 turtles, a tree frog, fish and some kind of reptile lizard.  When we moved to Colorado to be closer to some older family members, we thinned the herd out some and now have 3 cats, 3 dogs, a ferret, a bearded dragon,  and a variety of fish. I have had a rabbit and a hamster and 2 senior cats all who passed on.

I have worked with Lucky Dog Rescue in the past and fostered 6 different dogs and of those 6, we adopted 3. My son and daughter took 2 of them when they moved out leaving us with the 1 dog (Socks) and 3 cats (Toni...the queen of the house, Gracie...the baby and my Zen/Yoga Kitty, and Tiger...my body guard). We lost Tiger in January of 2021. We adopted Tiger Lily in February of 2021 only to lose her in April of 2021. We adopted Fancy in July of 2021.  We recently adopted Millie from the Humane Society and I am working with her to be my service dog. I have loved animals all my life. I had a poodle when I was very young and several other dogs through out my adult life.

Since becoming a pet sitter I have become Pet First Aid and CPR trained (I even became an instructor and taught the course itself for a while), a member of Pet Sitters International, a Certified Pet Sitter through Pet Sitters International and attended Ashworth College and received my diploma in Veterinary Assisting with Honors. I am currently working on my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
