Kaye Queen, Owner and Manager

Hi, my name is Kaye Queen owner,  manager and a pet service provider. I started with Lucky Pet (Dog) in June of 2010 as a pet sitter; about a year and a half later I was promoted to pet sitting coordinator (basically assistant manager) and on November 1, 2014 I took over as pet sitting manager.

In November of 2016, the owner offered to my husband Gary and I the company and we became the owners as of January 1, 2017. Our official name is New Beginnings Enterprises, LLC: DBA Lucky Pet at Home Pet Services.

We had 4 dogs, 3 cats, a rabbit, 2 roosters, 3 chickens, a goat, 2 horses, 2 turtles, a tree frog, fish and some kind of reptile lizard before moving to Colorado to be closer to some older family members. We now have the three cats and 2 dogs.

At one time I lived in a home that came with its own rabbit, I thought the rabbit needed a friend and before I knew it I had well over 20 rabbits living in my backyard. We now have the three cats and 2 dogs.

I have worked with Lucky Dog Rescue in the past and fostered about 6 different dogs and of those 6, we adopted 3. My son and daughter took 2 of them when they moved out leaving us with the 1 dog (Socks) and 3 cats (Toni ....the queen of the house, Gracie...the baby and my Zen/Yoga Kitty, and Tiger my body guard).

We recently adopted Benny for the Pueblo Humane Society, he is Socks' best friend.  I have loved animals all my life. I had a poodle when I was very young and several other dogs through out my adult life.

Since becoming a pet sitter I have become Pet First Aid and CPR trained (I even became an instructor and taught the course itself for a while), a member of Pet Sitters International, a Certified Pet Sitter through Pet Sitters International and attended Ashworth College and received my diploma in Veterinary Assisting with Honors.  I am currently working on my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

My Husband Gary Queen is co-owner, assistant manager, pet visit coordinator and pet care provider. He too has an extensive background in pet care. He had his own pets growing up including a pet Tarantula. He is very thorough in our phone consultations and paperwork we require and the state requires.

Our Pet Service Providers

The pet care providers / sitters we have on staff I personally selected according  to their experience and dependability. Those two things are very important to us. They have been with us from 4 years down to 2 months. Their experience ranges from having a certificate of completion in dog training, to raising and training their own dogs to working in a vet hospital as a vet tech, to working in dog kennels to just having pets all their life and have a passion for taking care of animals. We all take great pride in taking care of the animals that are entrusted in our care while our clients are away at work or on vacation. We treat each pet as if they were our own and spoil them just like a grandma would spoil her grandchild. We are all licensed as pet handlers and taxi service providers, bonded, insured and have all passed an extensive background check. I have personally trained all our pet care providers / sitters to give the utmost care to the client and their fur babies. We do ongoing training with our sitters and stay in constant contact with them. With Lucky Pet at Home Pet Care Services you are getting the best of the best and we look forward to taking care of your babies while you are away at work or at play.

All have been trained in Pet First Aid and Pet CPR and I have personally trained them to meet the industry standards established by PSI (Pet Sitters International).

We do not post individual pictures of our Pet Care Providers on our website to protect them. We will provide individual bio's with their picture attached if requested by any new client.
